Revitalizing Rural Oregon: Affordable Living, Vibrant Retail
CURRENT PROJECT HIGHLIGHT - CHILOQUIN HOTEL RESTORATION
History
Originally serving as a hotel, this historic building on Chooktoot Street was once a bustling cornerstone of the community. Built during the height of the lumber industry, it welcomed travelers and workers alike. However, as the lumber market declined, so did the hotel's viability, and it eventually closed its doors. For the last 25 years, the building has remained vacant, standing as a testament to Chiloquin's past. As a small, rural community facing significant housing shortages and a need for growth, Chiloquin now looks toward revitalization, with this building awaiting a new chapter in its story.
Our Vision
Upon completion of the restoration, the Hotel Building will offer 9 studio apartments and two unique retail spaces. These spaces, bathed in natural light from the building’s historic windows, slated to be completed Fall 2026. This restoration endeavor is not merely a rejuvenation of a historic landmark; it's a pivotal step toward inspiring future investments and economic development in downtown Chiloquin.
Grant Funding
We have received grant funding to assist with the restoration the historic Hotel Building in downtown Chiloquin.
This restoration marks a significant milestone in revitalizing the downtown core, preserving the Hotel’s rich historical significance, and ensuring the successful completion of this transformative project.
